Pastor Ron Thompson

Pastor Ron Thompson graduated from Apostolic Bible Institute in Oakdale, MN in 1971. While in bible college Ron met Pam Bryan, who would become his wife on Sept. 18, 1971. In June of 1972, Ron & Pam moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota as Home Missionaries to pioneer a new church. In 1985 the Thompson’s and their two young children, Janelle and Jon, responded to the call to pastor the Anoka United Pentecostal Church. Over the next ten years the Lord blessed the church with new members. In 1995 the congregation moved to its present location in Andover, MN.

In addition to pastoring the Andover church, Pastor Thompson has served as Youth Secretary, Youth President, Home Missions Director and District Presbyter for the United Pentecostal Church.

October of 2015 marked the Thompson’s 30th year of pastoring the congregation they began serving in 1985. Pastor Thompson is excited about what is happening in the congregation and its impact on the surrounding area. His vision is for the church to be a “Refuge,” a place of safety and healing, offering “Hope” for a better tomorrow.
